Online Dating Episode 1

I have not been into the online dating game for very long.Since November 2011 I have been emailing and using Yahoo Messenger to talk to a few different guys. Two weeks after I started talking to one guy he starts pressing me for my cell number.I do not feel comfortable giving out my number,to anyone much less someone I have never met and have only talked to for a total of 12 hrs. This guy flipped out!Calling me all kinds of names, telling me if I did not give him my phone number then we might as well break-up.BREAK-UP?I do not recall ever being a couple! My instincts turned out to be correct.Next guy says he is in the Military,in Afghanistan and is a Doctor.Ok,that sounded great. We started talking, not much just a couple of times. But,right from the first he said something about a phone call and how it would cost me.I let that go without comment. But,sure enough he starts asking for my cell number.I told him I did not have the money to pay for phone calls. He tells me that he will get my number, send it to some Goverment Agency, who would approve it and then would reimburse me for the phone calls. Now,this just screamed "SCAM"and I told this guy so.I also told him that since he was a Doctor,he made way more money than I did and since he was so intent on talking on the phone,HE SHOULD PAY for the phone calls. What does he say?He says something to the effect of he would be able to get leave, fly back to the US and meet me,but he had to have my cell number to get the leave!I finally just deleted him. Now,I have some guy telling me he loves me,is it any wonder these guys are trying to find someone online? It gets better.I was surfing through another of the dating sites.I had gotten a message from a guy that seemed ok.He had a dog and we made a "date" to meet at the local park where a dog park is located.First clue that this was going to be a mistake was his being 30 min. late. When he does finally get there,he looks nothing like his photo.I knew he was slightly over wieght but that was ok.I am not exactly svelte anymore. But,he is way more than I expected,my first instinct was to turn around and walk off.He was so awful that I could not look him in the face.I am not a person into looks, but this guy just had a blueish color and his hair was the same.I felt like I was meeting Moe from the three stooges. But,I felt I needed to try. So,he has this American Bulldog with him.I noticed he was having problems getting this dog to walk on a leash. The dog was not nuetered, because Moe claimed he used him for stud.Ok,I let that pass. But,then he starts saying how aggressive this dog is.Sounding like he was proud of the fact.On and on he goes about how this dog,Rambo, was very aggressive towards other male dogs. This whole time every fiber of my being is saying "RUN",but like most of the mistakes I have made in my life,I ignored the screaming in my head.We finally get to the Dog Park enclosure.Relief would be an understatment when I saw no other dogs in the enclosure,so in we go,Moe,Rambo,Gracie and myself. We are not there 10minutes when another couple bring there pit mix to the gate,Moe is too busy playing with his phone to recognize a disaster waiting to happen,I am waving my hands saying, actually screaming at these people to wait and at the same time trying to get Gracie away from the gate.Moe,is sitting on his fat butt, making no move to get his dog.In comes the pit mix, running like NORMAL dogs do,there goes Rambo chasing this poor unsuspecting dog, grabbing him with his teeth around the back of his neck,Moe?That idiot is just standing there calling for the dog to stop!I could not believe it.The victim dog's owners were screaming and trying to remove the attack dog off their dog.Meanwhile,Moe is still yelling at his dog to stop and half-heartedly trying to "rope"the dog with a leash! When they were FINALLY able to get the animal off the dog,I had had enough.Gracie was on her leash, and I was walking towards the gate. The victim dog had some really awful bites and cuts.I do not know what happened, but I do know that Moe lied to those people saying he had no idea his dog would attack. He knew and di very little to stop it.So,that was it.I did send Moe a text and told him I was not interested in him,at all.And that he should have never brought that animal out of a cage.I also told him I did not blame the dog,he was at fault. Now,I am not sure where I stand with the online dating situation.I am going to just wait until I really am sure about the person before I meet them anywhere. What a day!
